I never got a response so I wasn't sure if it got through. Thanks, Nils ----------- Maybe I'm missing it, but is there a way to avoid having to manually recreate all your army rosters each time a new data file comes out? Can you save the rosters in text or XML & then copy them back in? I primarily use AB for Mordheim & maintain about 10 rosters. I now have rosters that I haven't kept up to date (recreating them with each new data file) & their old enough that I can't find the data files that allow them to be loaded without an error. Thanks, Nils __________________________________________________ ______________________ __________________________________________________ ______________________ Message: 2 Date: Wed, 7 Nov 2001 12:15:25 -0800 From: "Shawn Campbell" <shawn@electricstitch.com> Subject: Re: RE: Upgrading Data Files I thought I saw someone answer... No, you will have to re-create the file. I recommend making txt/html backups before updating the datafiles. Sometime you won't have to worry about making new rosters, it depends on if the files directly relating to the units you chose in your army are affected by the changes. So I've got this Mordheim Beastmen gang that I can't seem to find the proper level of data files for. I think I tried all the v3.8+ data files & it said the gang was build with an earlier version. I tried the v3.5 files & it says it was built with a later version. Can I find v3.6-7 somewhere? Also, I'm not sure if this is an error, but I noticed in v3.83, that my Middenheim Wolf Companion can be a Berserker. I figured Wolves would already be kind of crazy. -----Original Message----- From: Shawn Campbell [mailto:shawn@electricstitch.com] Sent: Wednesday, November 07, 2001 12:15 PM To: ab@support.wolflair.com Subject: Re: [AB] RE: Upgrading Data Files I thought I saw someone answer... An individual in a normal SM force given Deathwatch tag is able to pick from his normal armory- ie: he does not have to have a bolter as per the DW Article in WD258. Unfortunately, the current AB File for 40k does not allow this. Am I reading the article right and the file wrong or is it vice versa? Jes' curious.... as I just painted up a Plasmapistol/PFist Deathwatch guy and I'd hate to have to pull the Plasma Pistol off... -John T. __________________________________________________ ______________________ __________________________________________________ ______________________ Message: 7 Date: Wed, 7 Nov 2001 21:06:53 -0800 From: "Shawn Campbell" <shawn@electricstitch.com> Subject: Re: Deathwatch Q for 40k Files ----- Original Message ----- From: "Toshiro Kimura" <toshiro1@earthlink.net> > An individual in a normal SM force given Deathwatch tag is able to > pick from his normal armory- ie: he does not have to have a bolter as > per the DW Article in WD258. On the contrary, the article says, "Deathwatch members must be armed with a bolter or a combi-weapon with a bolter component." This is for the non-killteam deathwatch members.
