Hi there-
Sorry to be clueless, but what are the appropriate settings to check to get the Hero Labs software to create Supers characters as described in the 2nd Edition Super Powers Companion (assuming that it does so)? That was the primary purpose for my purchase, and I haven't been able to get it to work as it should. Thanks! |

Unfortunately, the 2e version is not yet supported, and it'll be a while since it comes after the SF Companion which is overdue.

Well, not the reply I was hoping for, but thanks for getting back to me anyway.

Yeah, its unfortunate. There's an unofficial and somewhat kludgy datafile for it that Zarlor has done if you want to contact him.

Yeah, I have an unofficial file for it if you like. It worked well enough for the SPC2 game we ran a while back, though. I can pretty much guarantee it won't really compare to the official file when it does come out (which I'm not doing, in case anyone was wondering) but you're welcome to try it out if you like. https://www.dropbox.com/s/8vwncigebma70vd/SPC2.hl
I also have an update link if the file gets updated, but I expect the official release won't be too far off now (I hope not, anyway) so I may not have any more updates to this version. Lenny Zimmermann Metairie, LA, USA Data files authored (please let me know if you see any issues with any of these if you have/use them): Official (In the downloader) 50 Fathoms, Deadlands: Hell On Earth, Deadlands: Noir, East Texas University, Necessary Evil (requires Super Powers Companion), Pirates of the Spanish Main, Space 1889 (original file by Erich), Tour of Darkness, Weird War II, Weird Wars: Rome Coming Eventually Evernight (LWD has completed their review but I have some fixes to make first... although Pinnacle mentioned this might get an overhaul to SWADE so I may just wait for that first. If you just HAVE to have this now, though, just PM me) |

I've got the 2nd Edition file almost ready to go. Once we get Sci-Fi out, I'll finish it.

Can you please make a setting in the Configure Hero where you can choose to have both regular Arcane Background and Supers?
Evil wins because good rolls poorly .... or the players are not paying enough attention to the game. |

Tried the Wild Card Creator but prefer the Hero Lab. Will wait until it is released.

Hey, I'm pretty sure that this has been asked and answered, but I just purchased the expansion pack for SW with the Science Fiction, Fantasy and Super Powers companions added. After my $40.00 purchase I happily fired up Heroes Lab and I'm finding that the Super Powers companion is more than likely for the first edition.
I look here and it seems the 2.0 rules haven't been released yet. Is that the case? The 2.0 rules aren't out and I spent money on the 1.0 rules (that I'm not using)? If that's the case, will it be a separate purchase for the 2.0 rules? (I hope not.) And finally, because I'm full of questions, when do we anticipate these packs to be available? Or am I just using everything wrong? |
