A new update of the Pathfinder files for Hero Lab is now available from the automatic updates mechanism within Hero Lab.

This update adds The Worldwound to the existing Campaign Setting #10 package. This package is available for $4.99, and already contains Fey Revisited, Chronicle of the Righteous, Dragons Unleashed, and Castles of the Inner Sea.

This update adds two new Player's Companion books to Hero Lab. The first is Dragonslayer's Handbook, which has been added to our Player Companion #11 package. This package is available for $4.99, and already contains Quests & Campaigns and Kobolds of Golarion. The second book is Pathfinder Society Primer, which is now the first book in the new Player's Companion #12 package. This package is also $4.99, and will get 1-2 other books from the player companion line, to be determined as Paizo publishes more books from that line.

This update also includes player content from adventure path #72, which wraps up the Reign of Winter adventure path, along with assorted bug fixes.

New Releases!
  • Content from The Worldwound is now available as part of Pathfinder Campaign Setting #10.

  • Content from Pathfinder Society Primer is now available as the first book in a new package, Pathfinder Player's Companion #12. 1-2 more books should be added to this package in coming months.
iPad Changes & Bug Fixes
  • Tower Shields now work correctly with the new equip / unequip mechanism.
  • Spells that can be used at-will or constantly are no longer greyed out in the list of activated abilities.
Enhancements & Changes
  • Blindsense, blindsight, and tremorsense now display their range in the stat block.
  • Added player content from Pathfinder #72 "The Witch Queen's Revenge".
Bug Fixes
  • A Recent FAQ has clarified that we had incorrectly allowed many abilities that allow you to use a two-handed weapon in one hand to continue applying the effects of the Power Attack feat as if the weapon was still a two-handed weapon.
  • Spells and abilities that should have been added when equipment was equipped were not being added properly.
  • The Ability Focus feat was only offering racial abilities, but not class abilities or abilities from other sources as options for selection.
  • The beguiling bangles were not applying a situational bonus to saves and skills.
  • The Hat of Disguise did not add the text from the disguise self spell.
  • The Dullahan was missing the Frightful Presence racial ability.
  • The Extra Ki feat was not applying it's effects for some class combinations with 2 ki pools (such as Ninja 2, Monk 3).
  • The Extra Ranger Trap rogue trick was missing a pre-req for the Snare Setter archetype, and was only addable once (rather than at each trick gained).
  • The Almost Human trait was applying its situational to Heal rather than Disguise.
  • The Summoner Synthesist's Fused Eidolon ability was overwriting ALL BAB with the BAB of the Eidolon. This worked fine for single classed summoners, but not for multiclassed summoners. It now only overwrites the BAB of the summoner class, so that other class's BAB can be added, as stated in the FAQ by Sean K Reynolds.
  • The Bard's Archeologist archetype was granting access to Major Rogue Tricks at 14th level rather than 12th level.
  • The Manual of calm reflection was misspelled "Manual of calm reflectin".
  • The Dual Curse Oracle now removes the spells of the selected curse as well as any bootstrapped immunities of it's class abilities.
  • The Champion of Irori levels were not stacking with paladin levels for lay on hands. It was also missing an eval rule to remind users to dismiss any animal companions, familiars, or eidolons they may have (as stated in the class' Code of Conduct).
  • The Armbands of the brawler, Seducer's bane and Arrowmaster's bracers were applying incorrect text for situationals.
  • The Rosewood armor wasn't granting free armor spikes when creating a custom magic armor.
  • The Ability: DC adjustment was not able to decrease the DC of a selected ability, only increase it.
  • The Mounted condition hadn't been adding the rider's weight to the encumberance of the selected mount.
  • The Orc Bloodline was adding its bonus spells known in a non-standard way, which meant they were not selectable when making a crossblooded sorcerer.
  • The Sorcerer Arcane Bloodline's New Arcana ability was throwing errors until the user made a selection.
  • The Lore Warden Archetype was not flagging Bravery as being modified, so that other archetypes that replaced or modified that ability would not show an error until actually added.
  • The Urban Barbarian Archetype's Controlled Rage ability was incorrectly affecting the number of Rage rounds per day when rage was active.
  • Other Melee weapons were not showing in the Output Hero Statblock.
  • The Sensei's Insightful Strike ability was not functioning.
  • Skill ranks gained from an item were not being counted in the #skillranks[] macro, meaning they weren't fulfilling pre-requisites for feats and such.
  • The Smite Evil granted by the Chevalier prestige class was not adding bonuses as Character level rather than class level.
  • Vanara were throwing an error if the user hadn't enabled the new Combat Maneuvers from the APG.
  • The Spell Shield Magus Arcana was applying an insight bonus to AC instead of a shield bonus.
  • The Underwater crossbows were marked as not legal for PFS.
  • Several Ultimate Campaign backgrounds and trainings were not enabling their associated traits when chosen (if the appropriate setting was enabled).
  • The Alchemical Adept trait was throwing errors if added to a character that hadn't yet added the Craft (alchemy) skill.
  • The Eldritch Delver trait was throwing errors if added to a character that hadn't yet added the associated Knowledge skills.
  • The Desperate Speed traits were throwing errors if added to a character that didn't have an Eidolon.
  • Mimics weren't gettting Knowledge (dungeoneering) as a class skill.
  • The double-barreled musket's range was errated to be 40, not 10.
  • The trait category for Regional traits was showing as "Darklands".
  • If the Numerical Alignment option was turned on for a Custom Race or Bestiary Monster Creator Race, the Race Name option did not look correct.
  • The corset of dire witchcraft wasn't adding correctly to hexes.
  • When purchasing Mounts & Hirelings, the price of the item wasn't correctly set by default.
  • Changing the type of free clothing a character had did not immediately change the name of the clothes - you needed to make another change to the character before the name would update.
  • Fame added to a reputation was being reset when the character was saved and loaded later. Unfortunately, if the fame added by a particular Reputation Journal has already been reset, there is no way to recover it. This fix will keep the error from occurring again, but cannot recover cases where the bug has reset data. You should add a new Reputation Journal, copy the title, notes, and Fame from the old copy, and then delete the old copy.
  • When creating characters with custom races, the ability score options were not always correct.
  • Wayang Spell Hunter wasn't reducing the effective level of metamagic versions of its chosen spell.
  • The Blessed Touch trait was raising an error if added to a paladin whose channel energy ability had been replaced by an archetype.
  • The total number of bonus feats allowed for a Cavalier (Gendarme) was incorrect at higher levels.
  • A level 8+ dwarven cleric with the Caves domain (and the Tunnel Runner ability in use) was only receiving Darkvision 60', but should have gained Darkvision 120'.
  • A familiar whose master had a magic item, such as a Headband of Vast Intelligence that grants effective skill ranks was not inheriting those ranks.
  • Morlocks incorrectly had the Hold Breath ability.
  • The resurrection spell had an incorrect component cost.
  • The Erutaki language was missing, and the Erutaki ethnicity did not add it as a bonus language.
  • The Order of the Dragon adjustments were not applying their dodge bonus to AC correctly (it was not stacking with existing dodge bonuses), and the Act as One abilities had the incorrect description (that of "Strategy).
  • The Champion of Irori wasn't stacking properly with the paladin for Smite Evil damage.
  • The spellscar and outer rifts mysteries were marked as not allowed for Pathfinder Society characters.
  • The Spellcasting Summary tab was greying out Constant and At Will spell like abilities, as though they were of limited use and exhausted.
  • Quaternary abilities were showing in the Quintenary abilities table.
  • The Domineering trait wasn't adding its DC bonus correctly.
  • The Entangle spell's description was incorrect. The first sentence said "foes" instead of "creatures."
  • The knuckle axe wasn't listed as a light weapon.
  • Several size-related settings for the companion of a mammoth rider were not being handled correctly, like correctly recognizing the size of armor the companion should be able to wear.
  • Amber spindle ioun stones weren't stacking correctly.
  • Weapon Focus (Klar) was not adding a bonus to Klars made as custom/magic weapons.
Data File Authoring
  • Classes now store their calculated values for the base saves and BAB in fields on the class helper (cClassFort/cClassRef/cClassWill and cClassBAB). These are calculated at Levels 10000, and added to their respective picks at Levels 20000, so they can be manipulated between those times (see the Fused Eidolon ability for an example).
