The feat says it requires Ranger 6th, which I am.
When I take the Hippogriff on the Minion, it says it requires Druid.
Edit: Nevermind, it comes in two parts. An Alternate Class option is required first.

For the record, the Archetype is a replacement for the feat which was originally written for 3.5E
