I have no idea how your account ended up deleted. To my knowledge, we have only added people to the Beta team since the new forums were setup. Is it possible that the account name was slightly different from what you remembered? Or the password was slightly different?
I know that I've managed to mis-remember account names and/or passwords in the past after a period of non-use. And I agree that it can be extremely annoying when things like that happen.... :-)
