    Can't get Favored Class Benefit to work

    I'm using it to map out my sorcerer, and at level 6 when I select the favored class benefit, which lets me add a spell to my list of known spells, I chose a 2nd level spell. Then at level 7 I chose the favored class benefit again, and selected a 3rd level spell, but it retroactively applied it...
