Edges are normally categorized by type at character creation. However when doing an Advance they are listed alphabetically instead, if I remember correctly. Not sure why the difference, though.

Yeah, most likely that's from a .user file. The hard part (because the stupid errors won't tell you!) is which file it's coming from. So the standard behavior in Hero Lab is to not load ANY data...

That sounds very likely. I think I've had to do something similar before. Usually doing a heavy comparison to the standard sheet code like that. I just haven't had time to try to dig into it. :(
