Basic summary?

How do I get the Basic summary (see screen shots, attached) to show up? I have it for one character, but for a new character, it's not there and I can't see how to add it.

Keeping collapsed menu items collapsed

Hi,

Is there a way to keep menu items collapsed? (See attachment.) When I collapse them, but then re-open HL, they're expanded again. Is there any way they can be kept closed?
