It seems that custom output example from the manual does not work for 4th Edition.

Workaround:
Using the editor, make a copy of the Pixie race.
Make sure to select Pixie for the 'Count As' race.
Hide 'rPixie'
Bootstrap the ability you created to the newly created pixie race.
