Skill proficiencies

Hi all, I am having an issue that I can't find any help for so I hope you guys can help.

I just bought the software and when I am creating a character I have no way of adding skill proficiencies. This applies on both desktop and iPad version.

The validation will tell me Race: not enough skill proficiencies chosen but there is no field under there that I missed.

Also from watching youtube videos I saw that I should be able to choose proficiencies from the class/bard tab, but I can not.

Any ideas on what this might be?

On PC I made a character like follows:

Race > Human
Class > Cleric
Background > Criminal

From the Background tab there is now an option to 'Add more tool proficiencies (1left)'
From the Cleric tab there is now an option to 'Add more skill proficiencies (2 left)'.

Do you see the same thing? Links to add them are in purple.

For Windows: It might not be super obvious, but if you click on the text (ex: No more languages allowed), you will get a pop up to add a new language. Then, it will show a red message saying you have 1 over the 'limit'. You can ignore this message.

Thanks for the replies! I was playing around with options yesterday and it must have been the background & personality trait proficiencies that I turned on, since after turning them off it all shows as it should.

Thanks YOU!!!!!! I have been trying for an hour to get it to let me choose proficiency. And sure enough unchecking "show background and personality" made the options pop right up.
