Journal Tab Randomly Disappearing - Help!
 

Recently I've been having an issue with the Journal tab randomly just disappearing from my portfolios. I have one portfolio that has 10-12 characters, and when I opened it recently, several of the characters were missing their Journal tabs, but some were not.

Is this something that I can simply add back in from somewhere? Or, is this a legitimate bug?

Has anyone else experienced this?

Is there an easy way to get it back or prevent it from happening?

Are the characters with the missing journal tab setup as NPCs instead of PCs?

In this instance it happened to both NPC's and player characters.

In that case I recommend posting an official bug report. General Hero Lab Support & Community Resources is a sticky thread at top of Forum where you request official support for issues.

Because only NPCs should not have journals. And you are sure when you press "CTRL-K" that the character is marked as a PC and has no journal?

Another thing to check for in 'Configure Hero' is: 'Optional Rules / Classes to Show / Summoned Creatures' and make sure that it is unchecked.

This option essentially marks the character as a summoned creature and takes away the journal tab since summoned creatures are normally temporary.
