Chaos Magic banners incorrect PLZ HELP!
 

Hello

Perhaps this is something I am doing wrong I don't know, as I can't see anyone else saying this is a problem, and seen as its so glaring and incorrect I have to assume its me! Army Builder is an excellent piece of work and is generally correct. However heres the problem..

The Hordes of Chaos army book says the following magic banners can be chosen:

Banner of the Gods
Banner of Rage
Plague Banner
Blasted Standard
Banner of Wrath
Rapturous Standard

Army Builder says the magic banners I can choose for Chaos are as follows:

Banner of Wrath
The Flesh Banner
The Gore banner
Preyseeker
War Banner

As you can see.. THEY ARE COMPLETLEY DIFFERENT! And the bonus they give are also completly different.

Can you help? have i loaded in the wrong warhammer fantasy files? Or is this something thats been overlooked and not mentioned?

It sounds like you have a specific mark chosen. Some of those banners require a given mark to have access to them.

Sorry for the delay in a reply!

The only mark chosen is the mark of undivided as standard. Even if there was a mark chose however the banners available on AB most of them aren't in the army book at all. However I have had a look at a beast of chaos army book recently and noticed some of the banners I mentioned that AB has, are from the beasts book.

Thats aid there are still some that don't appear anywhere that I can see.

It looks like its just incorrect. Whats making me hesitant though is that it hasn't been mentioned by anyone else. You would of thought it would of been wouldn't you?

A couple questions, what unit are you trying to give a banner to?
And just to make sure, the unit is undiv?

Okay, there are several reasons behind your problems, but none of them are Army Builder related!

Banners in Hordes of Chaos:
Banner of the Gods - the points for this banner mean that it cannot be taken by any units, you will need to have an Aspiring Champion Battle Standard Bearer. He must be mrked Undivided.
Banner of Rage - Mark of Khorne only
Plague Banner - Mark of Nurgle only
Blasted Standard - Mark of Tzeentch only
Banner of Wrath
Rapturous Standard - Mark of Slaanesh only

From the list you see:
Banner of Wrath - in Hordes of Chaos
The Flesh Banner - from Beasts of Chaos
The Gore banner - from Beasts of Chaos
Preyseeker - from Beasts of Chaos
War Banner - from the Common Magic Items list

To get any of the banners that are only available to units with specific marks, you will need to create the unit, give it the relevant mark, and then give it a magic banner.

The reason the Beasts of Chaos items are there is that you can mix units and magic items between the two books (Hordes of Chaos and Beasts of Chaos).
