Dragoon Fighter and Advanced Weapon Training

Is this a bug? According to my reading of https://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1fm#v5748eaic9qto
A Dragoon Fighter should be able to take the advanced weapon training feat because spear training is just a specialized version of fighter weapon training, but I can't do that in Hero Lab.
