Multiple combat skill check #s

Hi there.

When I add enough ranks to Close Combat or Ranged Combat such that the resulting bonus is 20 or more, HeroLab shows two numbers (e.g. "+20/+21"). What's that all about? I can't find anything in the Hero's Handbook about this.

It means your skill is exceeding PL. The first number is your PL-limited rank, and the second is its actual rank. Being a skill, this means you are building a PL 10 character, and are thus limited to PL+10 ranks in the skill. You may also get an error message with regards to Attack/Damage PL tradeoffs. If you check the Special tab, you may also see a different value.
