Sync Error -500

Exmortis June 23rd, 2015 07:27 PM

Submitting my big report.

I now have no realms.

I even created a new one to have something to sync. it is there, but all else is gone.

AEIOU June 23rd, 2015 08:22 PM

David started work on my realm earlier this eve. He has an idea where it went sideways. I hope the team can get some rest tonight....

MNBlockHead June 23rd, 2015 11:09 PM

Hmm, I'm on 1.0.34, but when i check for updates it says that I'm up to date. Did the issues that some encountered cause LWD to stop the update?

Erdrix June 24th, 2015 06:24 AM

I have the same issue as MNBlockHead.

Caraldur June 24th, 2015 07:16 AM

Same here.

Just to be clear, you go to the launcher's tool page:

http://forums.wolflair.com/attachmen...1&d=1435161297

Click on "Check for Updates" and you don't see this:

http://forums.wolflair.com/attachmen...1&d=1435161305

Is that correct?

In any case, you can always go to http://www.wolflair.com/realmworks/g...orks/download/ and download the latest version from there.

Thanks,

David

Yep, I added a screenshot for you.

davidp June 24th, 2015 08:18 AM

And the "About Realm Works" shows 1.0.1034.194?

Robin79 June 24th, 2015 08:34 AM

Anyone else getting a "404 Not Found" when navigating to
http://download.wolflair.com/getrealmworks.php
?

Silveras June 24th, 2015 09:08 AM

Just a wild guess, but since I am a Beta user and had no trouble with getting it... could the new build be marked for Beta use only?

JustinThomason June 24th, 2015 09:13 AM

I am not a beta user, and had no trouble seeing it through the Check for Updates button.

I did have the Downloader stall on me last night, but after closing the program and relaunching it, I was able to download and install without an issue.

Caraldur June 24th, 2015 09:22 AM

Yes, the version number is 1.0.1034.194. I know you had to ask, because you can never be to sure with some users. :)

Perhaps there is some problem with connectivity from your location to our server. Please open a support case and we'll guide you through some other steps to try and figure out what might be going wrong.

Just tried again before opening a support ticket and it worked as it should for some reason. Thanks for the help.

Yep, version number is 1.0.1034.194 and it is saying it is up to date. I'm not having any issues synchronizing my realm to your servers, but I suppose the update servers are different.

I've submitted a bug report.

Parody June 24th, 2015 10:43 AM

I downloaded it last night using the Check for Updates button. ::shrug::

Hmm, web server work might be going on. I just tried to access the update check and the normal download and got 404s.

Edit: And now it's working.

Anyway, I was going to ask what the folks having problems see if they go to http://download.wolflair.com/rw/latestversion.php.

I see:

Not Found

The requested URL /rw/latestversion.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache Server at download.wolflair.com Port 80

Erdrix June 24th, 2015 12:52 PM

I'm getting the same results as MNBlockHead.

Parody June 24th, 2015 01:00 PM

That's why it's not reporting a new version. (If Realm Works gets a 404 the update check should probably give you an error instead of saying everything's fine, though.)

FWIW: I get a text response of "rw/RealmWorks_1_0_1035_195_install.exe", which is where you can find the new release on download.wolflair.com.

rob June 24th, 2015 02:10 PM

The downloads/updates issue appears to be with our ISP. We're working to get them to resolve it.

rob June 24th, 2015 04:31 PM

The ISP borked our DNS today, so some users get through fine and others don't. The problem is supposedly fixed, but DNS takes time to propagate, so it should theoretically all be working again by the morning. Sorry for the hassle...

MNBlockHead June 24th, 2015 07:14 PM

Just tried again. I was able to update. Looks like DNS issue is resolved.

Erdrix June 25th, 2015 08:07 AM

Same results as MNBlockHead.

I've worked in IT too long, because that phrase makes way too much sense to me.

Exmortis June 25th, 2015 12:20 PM

As always in an amazing amount of time, LWD support, namely David, got me back up and running within a day. Pretty damn amazing support!

tkarn June 26th, 2015 12:59 AM

I updated the Programm to version 1.0.35.

I integrated some foreign objects in my realm. Every time, I try to open these objects with the extern programs (HL, open Office, CC3) Realm works crushes.

I sent you a bug Report.

With Version 1.0.34 i didn't have the problem.

It looks like we messed this up in the Tuesday release. We are working to have a fix out tomorrow (Friday).

tkarn June 26th, 2015 01:42 AM

Thank you.

justdiver June 26th, 2015 06:27 AM

I updated... I can run the program, but every time I try to open my realm, it crashes. Does not matter if I run "online" or in "offline mode."

Is the current download the "fixed" version?

Not yet.

Gord June 26th, 2015 01:13 PM

I'm seeing the server is down for a deployment at this time so will hopefully be soon.

liz June 26th, 2015 04:17 PM

A new update has been released, which fixes a number of the issues you all reported. If you still see issues, please submit a bug report.

tkarn June 27th, 2015 06:12 AM

It works now.
