    Horse and Horseshoes not working?

    So I've added a "Horse, heavy (combat trained)" to my Hero Lab and I purchased him some Horseshoes of Speed. I've found that when I equip them under the 'Magic' tab it doesn't actually change his speed. Am I missing something?
