Racial Traits

I am starting a new PF game and am allowing traits. Some of the players want to use Racial Traits. I cannot locate these in the list of traits in HL. Am I missing something? I have enabled traits in HL so they show under the Feats section of the program.

The traits they are choosing from are listed on the Pathfinder_OGC site.

Please assist if you can.

Agreed, I was surprised last week when I did not find the elven racial traits so had to kluge together special attributes to mimic these.
Given that PFS play allows them and herolab supports pfs character mode, this would be a good thing to include in the database of traits.

Has anyone seen this addressed anyplace yet? I've found the "Use Traits & Flaws" optional rule, but there are many traits missing.

No one has dealt with this as far as I know. I have no idea why the racial traits are missing from the available traits, but they were never put into HL.

Racial Traits are from the Pathfinder Companion line of books which HL does not currently have as part of the normal Data set. I know HL has said its something they plan to maybe release in the future.

A couple options are you can input the traits yourself through the editor for the couple your players are going to take. Traits are VERY easy to do actually compared to like feats and magic items.

The other is I actually have several of the Pathfinder Companion line of books now entered including: Elves, Dwarves, Cheliax Empire of Devils, and several stuff(including classes) from Kobold Quarterly. I did send some of these over to chiefweasel's repository site as found in this link: http://forums.wolflair.com/showthread.php?t=9050

He added one, but I never got a response back from my other emails I sent. So I recently spoke to Mathias in email about posting the .user files to the forums and I can't actually do that. I can have links, but they have to be hosted somewhere else.

So with all that as soon as I can figure out where/how I plan to get these .user files posted their will be some racial traits.
 
How easy is it for you to enter new data? Not just traits but classes? I have a ton of d20/OGL and Pathfinder OGL material that I'd like to be able to use for home games. Can the d20 and the Pathfinder datasets be connected? Or can a d20 class be extracted from the d20 license and brought into the PF license.

Thanks for the offer. I actually talked to John Reyst today who is the gentleman that runs http://www.d20pfsrd.com/ and he has agreed that it would be a good use of the site to host the .user files. So I have started creating a page over on that site.

I figure this should work out really well as all Pathfinder stuff will be on one site and it also means anyone that becomes a d20pfsrd contributor will be able to maintain and add to the list of .user files. It won't be just one person in control then and that should work out better for the community I think.

For your first question it all depends on what it is. Somethings are pretty easy while others can take me awhile. Personally I am entering the material that I allow from books for my game for my players. So why I am not going to do every book in the world what I do have I figured I could share with others.

As for the data set questions I personally have no idea. I only have the license for Pathfinder as that is what I specifically purchased HL to be used for. I do know that chiefweasel does have a large repository of the d20 material from other splat books. You should check that out at this link: http://www.cheeseweasel.net/Hero Labs/dd35.shtml

I am ok entering thee simple stuff into a custom datafile, but am having compiling errors when trying to add traits where the player has to choose a class skill from a list.

Is there anyone that has successfully created a datafile for the Racial Traits at d20pfsrd?

I don't have a data file with JUST racial traits in it as they come from the different Pathfinder Companion books. You can download the books I have done and then Copy them into your own custom data file that has just the racial traits.

They are available for download at d20pfsrd Hero Lab.

If you make such a thing you can post it to d20pfsrd for others or send it to me, shadowchemosh(at)yahoo(dot)com, and I can easily add it to the page encase others are interested in just the racial traits.
 
I don't see the racial traits listed at the d20pfsrd on this page anywhere in your companion datafile.
Woops...think I was looking in the wrong file. Checking again.

OK I see you have some of the companions added but not all, so some of the traits aren't there. Here are couple companions that have traits I am looking for in a datafile.

Does anyone know if there are .user files for classes converted from 3.0 or 3.5? One of our players has a Deepwood Sniper but I don't have the technical knowhow to set classes up - my only alternative thus far is suggesting the DM off the character...
 
Well I won't have time to completely finish Taldor Echoes of Glory do to a new work project. So until I can get back to it I have put the current version up at d20pfsrd. The only thing its missing is the Lion Blade PrC.
