The "Community Bestiary" and Community Player Pack are not done yet so you should keep that installed if you are running the modules. The only part of the CB that should be changed by the new installs is my "old" adjustments will get changed over to the new "Basic Player" versions.

To do a "fresh" install on Windows (idea is similar on Mac) is go to your "c:\programData\HeroLab\data\Pathfinder" folder and rename it to "pathfinder_old". Then go to the "c:\programData\HeroLab\download\pathfinder.hl" file and run this to start a fresh install of the Pathfinder Game system. After it installs download the Community Bestiary "first" and then install any of the "new" packs you wish.

I just want to say that this "fresh" install fixed the large majority of errors I was getting in the Reign of Winter portfolios post-upgrade. Thanks!

The only error I'm still getting is "abDRCIrMag", which this post says is because of a change to Cold Iron DR a while ago. I know it's a low priority, but once all the community project files are reorganized, do you plan on updating all the old portfolios to ensure there's no errors?


Also, it's great to have all this on github, where it can serve as examples of Real Live Data Files™ for data file dabblers like me.

My take on this is several of the .1st files, which are control files, didn't install or where not in the pack. So I just tested here on my iPad with the 3PP Pack and it is working without issues. So that tells me that the Pack itself is not missing files.

So my take is that the install didn't go perfectly. So lets try and download the 3PP Pack again fresh. Let it overwrite the download and install again. See if that correctly installs the .1st files.

Basically yes this will be part of the "redo" of the Community Bestiary. Every "single" .por file of the 7 gigs will be redone. Not actually looking forward to this but it will help locate any issues before it gets released into the world. :)

Very true actually. I had not really thought of that but yes it is a great resource to pull script logic from.

I have a bunch of partially completed Rogue Genius Games files that once I understand how to use the Github I'll try to get updated to the new formats and get submitted.

Looks like I have about 30 or 35 that are in various stages of completion.

Its a KNOWN ISSUE in HL itself not in the community stuff. See that thread for how to turn the message off when playing your character.
 
Are the adventure path modules still compatible with the new setup?
The Community Bestiary and Community Player Pack (which is what supports Paizo Modules/Adventure Paths) have not been changed and should be 100% working with the new Packs. I am "hoping" to have these done by the end of month.

About the only special note would be if doing a fresh install to load the CB or CPP first and THEN load any of the new packs.

Hello everyone. I hope this is the correct spot to be posting this. I made a thread about it.
