Hi all,
I've been working on a custom spellcasting class and I've found that many of the spells are not appearing in the "Choose your spells" menu. I've tried everything I can think of to make them show up and I'm fairly certain that everything should be in order. That said, if someone would be willing to take a look at the file and see if they can find what I can't I would appreciate it.

Two quick things from looking at your user file (and I haven't checked every missing spell).
1. You have a lot of spells marked with Sources. If that source (or one of them) isn't active, you won't see the spell.
2. You have the "Obsolete" Helper tag on 63 things in the file - I'm willing to bet that's all the missing spells. Try removing that tag!

Current RPG's: Pathfinder (GM), Pathfinder (Player), Gamma World (GM, Pathfinder homebrew).
HeroLab: 3.5 & Pathfinder. HL User Files for PF: Greyhawk Setting, Gamma World (WIP).

DM and player of D&D since 1980.

Before you go any further, I'd just like to point out that it is no longer necessary to create new spells for your homegrown classes. The only exceptions are if the spell is actually new, or if the class receives a certain spell at a different level.

Instead, you can use the Extend Thing feature. To do this, go to the General tab, and look for the *Extend Thing submenu.

Create a new thing, and enter the following:

Thing Unique Id: spAltFort3
Group Id: sClass
Tag Id: Adjudicat

Once you save that entry, you can select Duplicate, and enter a new spell id. Repeat until all spells have been entered.

Note: For this process to work, ALWAYS use spells with ids similar to the one above. That is, the thing id should look like this : sp*****1

sp is the prefix for all the newly created spells. The number at the end indicates what level the spell is. So the thingid "spAltFort3" above is for Alter Fortune, level 3.

This rule/suggestion also applies if you are making new spells through New (Copy) which I suspect is what caused you to have the Helper.Obsolete tag applied to many of your spells.
