I know I should look through the user files first before posting but unfortunately I just want to know if it exists before going through the files. Can you make your own custom armors for hero labs shadowrun 5th? and where can I find the tutorial/documentation on how to do it?

Thanks all,
Red

You can add your own custom Armors. The best way to get started is to open Hero Labs, Select the Shadowrun 5 game, then go through the prompts.
Tools>Show Editor
File>New Data File
Equipment Tab>Armor Tab>[New (Blank)]

Thanks for the answer, MaskedFerret. Can you explain how to add custom modifications to armor?

It's pretty easy.

Best way would be to load up an existing armor that modifies something you want in your custom one.

Example: Load up armor that gives +2 Limit on Physical tests or something like that. you want your armor to have +3, change the value, rename it. Save, load, enable the file, there you go.

If you're looking to add something hinky, like say..... +3 to drain dice, there are skills that do similar. Load up one of those, find the value it's modifying and put that value in your armor.

Does that help?

also, if you're looking to just add armor with different values, the same applies.

Load up Armored Jacket, adjust numbers until it matches what you're going for. Save. it's REALLY easy.

Also, there's a pretty good tutorial on the authoring kit help menu. It's VERY long and detailed, which you probably don't need, but it will give you the idea pretty easy.
