Druid Shaman error

Right now, HeroLab gives shaman druids (IE Bear shaman, Wolf shaman etc) wildshape at level 2 (instead of 4) and just progresses it as if his wildshape level was 2 levels higher. This is not the case, the rules actually don't allow this kind of druid to have wildshape until level 6, at which point it counts as being 2 levels higher.

My evidence is page 102-103 of the Advanced Player's Guide (2nd printing) and the following link from the author of the animal shaman archetypes.

Page 102 reads: "Wild Shape (Su): At 6th level, a bear shaman’s wild shape
ability functions at her druid level – 2. If she takes on the form of a bear, she instead uses her druid level + 2."

The thread you've linked to is many years old now. In the time since that thread was posted, there has never been an official FAQ or errata on these, and more animal shaman archetypes have been printed in new books, using the same unclear wording.

Given that there have never been any official changes based on that post for a long time, I'm not certain enough of what the actual answer is in this case to change things in Hero Lab. I think there's too high a chance that when an official answer finally is given, it won't be the same as that post.

Ok granted, that thread is old.
However, the wording from the books does clearly state that the change doesn't happen until 6th level. Currently HeroLab is giving players wildshape at 2nd level, and that doesn't make sense. Even if they got it at 4th and only treated their animal type (ie wolf, bear etc) as 6th, that would at least make a little bit of sense.

Also, the very author himsef (Jason Nelson) has repeatedly clarified for both animal shaman and totem archetypes, that Wild Shape isn't granted until 6th level.

The author himself (Jason Nelson) has clarified several times among several threads on the Paizo message boards that the intent for both Shaman and Totem archetypes was to grant Wild Shape at 6th level rather than 4th.

We're not ignoring you. Though I'm not sure Mathias was convinced. Paizo's recently had a flurry of Faq updating, if you could get an official answer from them, that'd probably settle it.
