Error importing the Rappan Athuk Hero Lab files

Hi,

I had these files working (they imported just fine) but updating to the newest version of Hero Lab (4.1a) seems to have broken them.

I'm getting this error

The data files could not be loaded due to errors. Hero Lab will now attempt to load them in recovery mode. Once loaded, you can access the editor as normal to correct any errors.

The following errors occurred:

File: FrogGodGames_Sources.1st (line 4) - Source - Duplicate record encountered ('pFrogGod')
File: FrogGodGames_Sources.1st (line 12) - Source - Duplicate record encountered ('pFGGMonst')
File: FrogGodGames_Sources.1st (line 37) - Source - Duplicate record encountered ('bTomeHorr')

I've checked out the .1st file, and it looks fine (as far as I can tell).

Any clues?

I just purchased 2 Paizo files from LWD and when I uploaded them then opened HL I see this error msg:

HL opens in Safe Mode and none of my FGG files except Tome of Horrors are here.
 
Did you get your RA files from the kickstarter? I did and I had the same problem. I had to delete the RA files for herolab to work. I have no idea if the RA files have been updated but I do not think so. That is the problem with files from kickstarter. They are given out and never updated.
 
You shouldn't need to delete the whole file, just the conflicting thing. Open the .user file in a text editor, and search for skCrafPois, and delete that only.
 
I believe you can use MS Word. It is a text editor. I will have to reinstall and use it to fix the problem.
 
You're right. I was thinking of Notepad and wrote MS Word. I used Notepad many times for the Neverwinter Nights game.

Here is my two cents on how to do this really easy.

1) Start HL
2) Start Pathfinder
3) go to "Tools->Start Editor".
4) go to "File->Open Data File...".
4) Open file "FGG_Rappan_Athuk.user"
5) Click on "General->Skill" tab.
6) Find "Craft Poison" and click on it on the left side.
7) Press blue button "Delete" at bottom left of screen (say "yes" to really delete).
8) Press blue button "Save"
9) go to "File->Save Data File"
10) Close Editor.
11) Close Hero Lab
12) restart HL and Pathfinder.
13) Enjoy! :D
