Server status/maintenance

We're planning to take the account/sales server down very briefly for maintenance Thursday morning this week at 10am Pacific time. The maintenance is expected to be completed within 10 minutes. During the maintenance, logins to Realm Works and Hero Lab Online will be unavailable, but your service will be unaffected if you are already logged in.

We are planning on taking our servers down for maintenance briefly on Tuesday morning at 8 AM Pacific time. We expect it to take no longer than 30 minutes (and most likely a bit less than that). During the maintenance, access to Hero Lab Online and Realm Works both will be unavailable.

We're planning a combined release of Hero Lab Online and our account/sales server Monday morning (7/2) at around 10am Pacific time. This update will include a few highly requested enhancements and a number of bugfixes. We're hoping the downtime will not be longer than ~1 hour.

Because the account server is involved, new logins to Realm Works will also be unavailable during this time, as well as sales for both Realm Works and Hero Lab Online. The actual downtime of the account server should be significantly less than that HLO itself.

As usual, after the update is live, you will need to refresh your browser to get the latest update.

UPDATE: This is taking longer than anticipated due to some infrastructure difficulties. We're working on it, and will keep you posted.

We're planning a combined release of Hero Lab Online and our account/sales server Tuesday morning (7/17) at around 11am Pacific time. This update is primarily to lay some groundwork for our upcoming appearance at Gen Con, but will also include a few features and bugfixes. We're hoping the downtime will not be longer than ~1 hour.

Because the account server is involved, new logins to Realm Works will also be unavailable during this time, as well as sales for both Realm Works and Hero Lab Online.

As usual, after the update is live, you will need to refresh your browser to get the latest update.

UPDATE: FYI we're hitting some bumps in the road deploying the update. We'll keep you posted as to when we expect to be back up. Thanks for your patience!

UPDATE: The server is starting to come back up. Things may be a little unstable for the next 30 minutes or so.

One of the fixes we've deployed addresses the bug causing this instability when the service comes back online, but it won't be effective until the NEXT update (so hopefully things will come back up more quickly and smoothly in the future).


UPDATE: I may have spoken too soon, we're still seeing instability on the server that isn't settling down as we expected. We're looking into it, and will let you know when we know something.

This update has a few more things laying the groundwork for our upcoming appearance at Gen Con. We're hoping the downtime will not be longer than an hour.

UPDATE: Our update is running a little long. We hope to be no more than 15 minutes over our planned hour, but I'll keep you posted. Thanks for your patience!

UPDATE: We are investigating some unexpected issues with the release. We may need to briefly take down or restart our servers depending on the outcome of the investigation, but we're hoping any further downtime will be relatively short.

UPDATE: We're also planning an update of our account/sales server at the same time. However the account server downtime is expected to be shorter than Hero Lab Online (probably less than 15 minutes). While the account server is down, logins to Realm Works will be unavailable, along with sales for Realm Works and Hero Lab Online.

UPDATE: We're sorting out a few details on this end, so we're not going to hit our 10 AM window. ETA is not known at this point, but we're hoping sometime in the next few hours. We'll keep the service up until then, and keep you posted when we're getting close. Thanks for your patience.
