I'm starting to use the editor a little bit, but I use Hero Lab on multible computers and would like to have the most recent .user fil on both all the time.

Anyone got any tips for that?

I use dropbox for the portfolios and that's easy to change, but it seems that the .user file has to be in a specific location. Is that correct?

I was thinking about setting up some kind of backup program, but as far as I can see, they all backup the complete folder, not individual files. Does anyone knows if that would be a problem with the other files in that folder?

You may be looking at it the wrong way. Rather than having hero lab look somewhere else for files. Have Googledrive or Dropbox look somewhere else for the file they are backing up.

I can be done, but its kinda messy and requires you to put your whole Hero Lab data folder for Pathfinder into Dropbox, but you can create a junction point to a dropbox folder that will do what you want.

I'm paying for Dropbox, so I should have the space necessary. Could you explain a little more about it?

You have to copy the pathfinder folder from data to dropbox, then you need to make a junction from the folder in dropbox to the data folder.

I use this extension to make it easier.
