Well,
I have now converted my little brother to the power of Card Vault, and he likes it alot except for two things. 1. He would like card values for the inventory, I told him that was being worked on. Am I correct? 2. Since I bought the software I am using the Inventory for my collection of LOTR. Is there anyway of making two inventories for one game. Also while I was saving his deck he discovered something in the LOTR data file. The Ringwraith culture event card "The Nine Servants of Sauron", #219, Fellowship Set is labeled an event. My brother has this card and it is a condition on his card. I didnt see an FAQ update on it and thought I should let it be known. Very Minor thing, but still might need a look at. Thanks for all the answers in advance. DQuatermane |

I'll get that fixed in the next release, which will also include Two Towers. It's coming real soon, I promise. Does anyone else have anything that they've spotted in the existing sets that is in error? If you do the math, you can calculate that 85 million years ago the moon was orbiting the earth at a distance of about 35 feet. This would explain the death of the dinosaurs. Well, the tall ones, anyway. -- Unknown |

I just discovered something that I think you should be aware of. I (finally) finished my inventory of LOTR and I printed out the Inventory Report. It worked fine except for the fact that the first card on the report "Answering the Cries" shows up at the top of every page of the list. It is a Elf Lords Set card and on the second page I was in the Fellowship list and it was still at the top and is the top card again on every page. Other than that really great seeing all that I have in a easy manner. Love it. Also I got regisitered for the contest where you could win a complete set of 1 out of 11 games or a case. Well I checked out the Rook site and wow. I want one, their cases rock and I am going to get one of those instead of a clear card holder. I suggest all players check out there site, they have a new case for "click" figures. DQuartermane |

What can you tell us about your system (especially the OS and printer)? >Well I checked out the Rook site >and wow. They are very nice. I got one of the small ones at GenCon, and I really like the durability of the metal over the assorted cardboard boxes I had been using. However, you can easily duplicate a game system so that you have multiple folders containing the same game. To accomplish this, do the following: 1. Create a new folder beneath the "data" folder named "mybro". 2. Copy the data files for LotR into the "mybro" folder (copy the .def, .dat, .ext, and .aug files). 3. Edit the file "lotr.def" and change the "folder=" line to specify the new folder you're using. Launch Card Vault and you should see two listings for LotR. Each will have the appropriate folder name next to the game systme name. Load in the new "mybro" game system and it should compile properly. Then open up the inventory and you should be able to start a new inventory from scratch. Note! I realize this is a bit of a hack. I didn't think of this detail before V1.0 was released, so this is the only way to accomplish this within V1.0. A better solutoin for this is on the todo list. I hope to have things work a bit more cleanly in V1.1, with an elegant solution in a future update. Hope this helps, Rob --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rob Bowes (rob@wolflair.com) (559) 658-6995 Lone Wolf Development www.wolflair.com |

This was recently discovered as a bug in CV. It's slated to be fixed in
V1.1. The first card keeps getting repeated at the top of every page. Rather stupid, eh? But at least it's just a cosmetic glitch. :-) Thanks, Rob At 12:53 AM 12/8/2002 +0000, you wrote: >I just discovered something that I think you should be aware of.
