I'm creating characters for a the Red Sands - Space 1889 campaign setting.
So far, I've been able to add the custom bits I need: items, edges, hindrances, etc.
However, I'm stumbling over how to add "status".

Status is really just a value between 1 and 5. It maps to:
  • Underclass
  • Working Class
  • Middle Class
  • Upper Class
  • Elite

Some edges/hindrances give +/- to the value.

How can I add this to characters?
(If it's in the documentation and I missed it, please point me in the right direction).

You can add it as a Derived Trait in the Editor.

Out of curiosity, did this work for you? I have been working on a datafile for Gaslight with similar class structure: lower, middle and upper. I have been unable to get a Derived Trait to work with text. For now, I just have values of:

lower = 0
middle = 1
upper = 2

Would love to replace that with text

I'll check about this one, but I don't think a text substitution is possible.
