(M&M 2e) error message when attempting to edit char

Hi;

Ran into a problem today with character that needed some updating from campaign changes, though the file loads correctly, but I keep getting a error message every time I try to edit it:

Attempt to access non-existent parent pick for a top-level container from script.

Location: Procedure ‘FindDynPar’ near line 7


What's strange is that while it lets me make changes to powers/skills/etc as I wish, every change provokes this error message pop up. Unfortunately, I have zero idea as to what's causing it, or how to dig into the file to fix it. I'd welcome any suggestions as to what to do, but please note I'm not a coder so any suggestions will have to be dumbed down a bit.

Poking around the user interface I noticed a update was available, updating HL to Win version 7.4A solved the error pop up.
