There was a recent discussion requesting "ghost" presence for Topics under multiple containers. I did not see a compelling reason in the use case suggested, but I do see one specific to aliases, especially in Mechanics references.

Using Pathfinder as my example, though I am sure there are similar cases in other game systems, there are several points where it would be desirable to have the alternate names contained by different Topics than the one the Topic is "under". This is especially likely with large groups that may be broken up alphabetically in order to manage the members.

Example 1: Spells may have variant names, and it would be desirable to have the names appear in multiple alphabetic groups... such as "Restoration, Lesser" under "R" and "Lesser Restoration" under "L".

Example 2: Monsters may be members of groups, but it would be desirable to have the names appear "under" the group as well as under the alphabetical listing for the name... such as "Babau" under "B" and "Demon, Babau" under "D" or "Demon".
