amulet of mighty fist: how to activate?

my monk has the amulet, and i checked the item as equipped, but the attack bonus does not show.... do i have to do anything else? or is this a bug?

Just put one on a new monk and it worked fine. Do you already have something giving a Enhancement bonus to your Unarmed Attacks? Mighty Fists gives an Enhancement bonus and won't stack with other enhancement bonuses.
