Major new features
  • Folders can now be created on the character selection screen for each game system.
    • Folders can contain any mix of PCs and NPCs
    • Folder names can be up to 50 characters (letters) in length, and allow most special characters to be used (e.g. -/,\.;()[]{}, accented letters, and so on).
    • Each game system gets its own set of folders for its respective characters.
    • Each game system starts with a special "Home" level that serves as the default location for new characters and folders.
    • Existing characters can be freely moved between any folders you've created, as well as the home level. New characters are created in whichever folder you're currently viewing, and can be moved thereafter.
  • A special folder called "Trash" now appears when any characters are in it
    • Characters are no longer directly deleted. Instead, they now have a "Move to trash" option. Choosing this option will send them directly to the trash, with no more annoying confirmation step (yay!)
    • Any characters in the trash can be restored from the "Restore character" menu option available within the trash. Restored characters are moved back to the "Home" folder level.
    • Characters can be permanently deleted from the trash on an individual basis. Doing so requires confirmation (though you no longer need to type "delete").
    • The entire trash can be cleared at once using the Empty Trash button. This requires confirmation, including typing out the word delete (it's very destructive after all!). This will permanently delete all characters in the trash without mercy, and no chance for recovery. Use with caution!
  • Notes and known issues
    • This build currently only supports a single level of folders, but our infrastructure is designed to support multiple levels. We'll be rolling out multi-level support once it's ready in the weeks after single-level support is stable and working well.
    • Batch operations (e.g. moving multiple characters at once) are not currently available, but are planned for the future.
    • The "Move to folder" window doesn't currently remember the last folder you moved something to, but will soon
    • Trying to name a folder longer than 50 characters, or duplicating an existing folder name results in a cryptic server failure message. We'll be cleaning up that messaging shortly.
    • There are no animations associated with creating/editing/deleting folders as there are with characters. We'll be making that consistent soon.
    • Move to folder window is off center on screens of certain width (e.g. ipads in portrait mode)

Changes and improvements
  • Overall improvements to the Select Character screen
    • Primary command buttons (Create Character, etc) now are always visible at the top of the screen, with only the list of folders and characters scrolling
    • Significant improvements in usage of screen real estate and information density
    • Styling consistency improvements
  • Replaces sell/purchase action dollar bill icons with coin icons
  • PF2 - Adds a heightened spell level indicator to spell tables to better determine what spells a spellcaster has heightened and to what level
  • PF2 - moves heighten to right of memorized in class spell tables
  • PF2 - Includes powers and innate spell descriptions on spell descriptions section of printout
  • PF2 - Tweaks spell heightening display to show a proper ordinal value (e.g. 1st, 2nd, 3rd) instead of the more verbose "level 1", "level 2", etc.

Bug fixes
  • Fixes a bug where empty table messages were not being shown to user
  • PF2 - Fixes spells from scrolls and wands not appearing on play tab
  • PF2 - Fixes categorized choose lists (e.g. adding to a Wizard spellbook) using the wrong text color and being hard to read.

Game mechanics
  • SF - The Alien Archive 2 content has been updated to add the NPC races. This is a free update for those who already have the Alien Archive 2 package, which came out last week.
