Changes and Improvements
  • Improved the layout of the Equipment block on the play tab to better adapt to narrow width
    • Standardized control of stack quantity management into a new stack button
    • Moved ability use count control into the same window as ability activation
    • Standardized the position of weapon die roll, ammo management, and equip checkbox across games

Client Bug Fixes
  • Fixed the Play tab Spells section number used control from being much wider than it needed to be, which could negatively impact layout, especially when narrow
  • Fixed validation messages that applied to a single item in their table not spanning the width of the table
  • Fixes a performance problem on the Play tab caused by rollable items
  • PF2 - Fixed cramped spell selection layout in narrow display contexts, such as on mobile devices. Some input controls would overlap each other (memorized count, heightened level). This table now has a layout that better adapts to the available width.
  • PF2 - Fixes some layout problems on the Ancestry view
  • PF2 - Fixes a block in the Journal entry details displaying a block title of "Add Wealth or XP" instead of "Add Wealth" for characters using the No XP to Level setting.
  • PF2 - Armor and Weapons were not showing their traits (e.g. Padded Armor "comfort")
  • SF - Weapons were not showing their Special or Critical information

Game Mechanics
  • PF2 - The Shield spell adjustment was incorrectly applying a status bonus instead of a Circumstance bonus to AC.
  • PF2 - The Alchemist's Smoke Bomb featwas incorrectly listed as a 1st feat instead of 2nd level.
  • PF2 - The following general/skill feats where left over from the playtest and removed: Close Match; Iron Will and Scribe Scroll.
  • PF2 - The "-Custom Background-" option was not recognizing "Other Lore" as a valid selection for its trained skills.
  • PF2 - Shield bashes incorrectly had the Agile property.
  • PF2 - The Cleric's Deadly Simplicity feat wasn't recognizing when weapon proficiency was being granted as part of a category (like All Simple Weapons).
  • PF2 - The Weapon Proficiency feat wasn't adding proficiency with an advanced weapon if your class granted proficiency with martial weapons at a level higher than trained.
  • PF2 - A Barbarian with the Giant instinct was getting too much of a damage bonus from their specialization ability.
  • PF2 - Cleric Basic Spellcasting wasn't granting access to your deity's spells.
  • PF2 - The Summon Fiend spell was displaying as a level 1 divine spell instead of a level 5 spell.
  • PF2 - The Plant Shape feat couldn't be taken without errors by a Leaf Order druid.
  • PF2 - The Hydraulic Push spell wasn't available to Primal spellcasters.
  • PF2 - The Bard's Lightning Reflexes ability was not being added at level 3.
  • PF2 - The Sorcerer's Defensive Robes ability was not being added at level 13.
  • PF2 - The Sorcerer's Undead bloodline was granting the wrong focus spells.
  • PF2 - The Ranger's Legendary Monster Hunter feat was showing as a 10th level ranger feat, not 16th.
  • PF2 - The Dwarven Lore feat now adds the Dwarven Lore skill automatically
  • PF2 - The Call on Ancient Blood dwarf ability was still showing the playtest value of +2 instead of +1.
  • PF2 - Alchemical familiars were using the master's Charisma instead of Intelligence for Perception, Acrobatics, and Stealth.
  • PF2 - The printed character sheet listed Spell Points instead of Focus Points.
  • PF2 - Universalist Wizards weren't getting an extra 1st-level spell in their spellbooks.
  • PF2 - Feats were not showing their success/failure text.
  • PF2 - After a spell was chosen the success/failure text was not displaying.
  • PF2 - The success/failure text for Basic saving throw spells is now displayed.
  • PF2 - The Sickened condition was not applying a penalty to attacks.
  • PF2 - Aldori Duelist Dedication was not detecting that a character was trained in Aldori dueling swords in some circumstances.
  • PF2 - The Gnome's Gnome Obsession ancestry feat was not increasing the chosen lore or the lore from the characters background.
  • PF2 - The Noble background was not recognizing Genealogy Lore as one of its trained skill options.
  • PF2 - Innate spells were not included in the appendix of the character's spells.
  • PF2 - Focus spells weren't printing on the character sheet.
  • PF2 - Rituals weren't printing on the character sheet.
  • PF2 - When adding spells to a spellbook, 1st-level spells were being labeled as cantrips, and the cantrips header was being displayed twice.
  • PF2 - The Dwarven Weapon Cunning and Elven Weapon Elegance feats were not making their target weapons show their critical effects.
  • PF2 - Armor specialization for heavy armor was not displaying its benefits when gained.
  • PF2 - Additional dedication feats were showing as invalid even when the conditions to allow for taking new dedication feats were fulfilled.
  • PF2 - The text for the Club and Dart weapon specializations were incorrect.

Last week, I had said that we should be able to finish the creature companions from Alien Archive 3 in time to get them into this week's release. Unfortunately, those are taking longer than expected, and I'm sorry about that. We'll get them to you as soon as we can, but I don't want to give a new estimate until things are more certain.

Question: when updates happen, generally, do you have to recreate the character or do the changes auto-apply? Just curious about how our characters are stored.

The changes will auto-apply to your character.

The only good thing to do after new build is released is press F5 after logging into HLO. This forces the browser to pull all new data and makes sure you are really using the latest version. I do this myself and it really seems to cut down on issues..

I do not see anything here about printing. Is this being worked on and how close are you to using a faxsimily to the character sheets in the book? (Both Starfinder and PF2)
