Tags and content links

So I've created a Tag for Languages and Religions for my Pathfinder Inner Sea.
I then took the Region: Geographical and duplicated it instead of unprotecting it. Is this better, duplicating a category versus unprotecting it?

I then added Languages and Religion to this Region: Geographical Copy.
I also copied the Groups: Religious and added Domain Tag to my Groups: Religious Copy.

I then created a new group under the category Groups: Religious Copy
Abadar

Under my Region: Geographical Copy category I created the region Absalom
I selected the Religions, and Abadar is one of these religions.
Since it's a tag, it does not link to my Groups: Religious Copy of Abadar.
But if I copy these selected tags to the text box, I can link it.
But this seems reduntant
