Adding an NPC kobold cohort with class levels

Is there currently any way to add a kobold with class levels as a cohort (from the Leadership feat) to a particular character? The Other/Mounts & Hirelings tab doesn't seem to support this option.

Right now I have the cohort in question as her own character in the party portfolio, but that doesn't quite seem right.

You create cohorts as if they are a separate player character in the same portfolio. What you do put in the option to disable experience and simply set them to the appropriate character level for creation and leveling periods.

Thank you for the suggestion ... but how/where does one disable experience?

I can always award "virtual experience" to the kobold as needed for levelling purposes - are you referring to that?
