I don't think that monitor resolution has anything to do with this problem. The original error message said something like: "Total width of stat column exceed available space. I would say that 800x600 is for really small screens as even the new laptops can handle 1024x768 easily. HOWEVER, the system requirements for AB read: "SVGA video display (minimum 800x600 resolution with 8-bit color)" So I think any data file should support it...
