Hmmm. I'd think that unless his business was in computers (in which case he has no real excuse) that's probably why. He concentrated on the nuts and bolts of his business, not on how his computer worked.

Some of the most useless people where I used to work were the senior managers - they'd done everything in the organisation but concentrate on the computers. They made underlings like me do things like that for them. Thus when they needed their computer to work and it didn't, they'd call on someone like me to sort it out and when I had sorted it out, I rarely got thanks because their view as that a computer should 'just work' no matter what they'd done to it.

NO issue though looking forward to this milestone.

I will just sit here and hammer refresh until I can update.

This is actually very true. Just last week I was in design requirements/discussions for fixing a Financial maintenance program for changing routing codes for the GL. I kept telling the programmer that was going to do the work that we have to make it even more idiot proof than normal as the controllers will never willing be "trained" and will do "strange" things to the UI. Basically the maintenance program had to "walk" them through changes and verify "every" action before letting it happen.

On the other extreme end I deal with some of the Senior VPs in the company, to give an idea these are people that get 1 million dollars or more a year as a "bonus", and they actually pick stuff up SUPER fast. As long as I don't try and confuse them with pure techy talk they pick up anything shown the first time I show it. They are very fast using phones, tablets, windows, macs, and iPads devices. Actually faster than many of my programmers (which is embarrassing to say).

Just thought I would share what I have seen.

Im sitting here waiting too. It also just occured to me that my desktop is currently out of commission, and so I have not been able to install the interim update. Presumably soon this new biggie will be out, so what will the best way forward for me when my desktop is back in action?

I would assume a clean installation rather than an update be good enough, but can that be confirmed?

Pretty sure LWD have it in hand. Don't delete your install just yet.

Wait for the news and forum post. Your questions should be answered there.

The servers say they are up, now realmworks no longer works due to an Error

The type initializer '#9Ue.#lKk' threw an exception

anyone else have this issue ?
