I wanted to create a sleeping dart as a weapon.
I copied the dart weapon and simply changed the name and description. When I try to select it, it says I do not have proficiency in it, even though I do with dart. I even tried changing proficiency required from "simple" to "none" and I still get the red text warning me that I am not proficient with it. Why is this? How do I fix it? I tried adding a weapon proficiency adjustment under the adjustments tab but the drop down only gives me those weapons I'm already proficient in.

I just used Adjustment—>Custom Name: Weapon. Added darts and renamed them "Darts, sleeping"

Tried setting the Count as Weapon to the base weapon? For instance, if you create a weapon that is to acts as a dagger, set Counts as Weapon to Dagger?

Ah, okay, let's see...
Well it *does* get rid of the warning. But the little circle with the line through it indicating non-proficiency remains and the proficiency bonus is not applied. RW Project: Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition homebrew world Other Tools: CampaignCartographer, Cityographer, Dungeonographer, Evernote |
