I understand that there is a way, albeit clunky, to gift subscriptions and content by purchasing while logged out. It sounds like an email will come with instructions for activating a new account.
Does this also work for renewing as a gift? How would we add time to someone else's subscription as a gift? I'm considering paying for my party as apprentice subs and upgrading to Patron, but I really don't want to start a complicated arrangement where I have to reimburse them every 4 months once their account is active. |

We currently don't offer plans for sponsoring people's memberships, but we are discussing implementing such features in the future.

That's great news.
Eventually it would be nice to offer something above Patron tier that allows free users to share my content, but I'd be happy with a very simple workaround that just lets us gift time or Hero Lab dollars to someone. Something as simple (and I realize in tech terms that simple almost always really means "simple") as a gift card system so I could send someone credit to renew their subscription would be enough. |

A gift card system using discount codes would indeed be a nice solution. Not just for membership either. being able to buy my players content would be nice too

if you want to buy your players stuff in the meantime, there's always Venmo, Paypal, and of course cash...

Of course. As I said originally, I really don’t want to have to regularly reimburse a half dozen people, each of whom has their preferred method for exchanging cash. I might, but it’s more likely that we just won’t use Hero Lab.

you can also just create accounts for the players yourself, and hand out the usernames & passwords to them.
