You create a new data file in the editor, rather than editing existing ones. If you edited the existing ones, all your changes would be overwritten every time you updated the files.

Ahhh! Now I see, I thought what was popping up was a blank file with no info in it. I get it now! I knew it had to be something REALLY simple and I was just being thick headed...

Is anyone able to add the Judo fighting style from armour reloaded for me please, I have made several attempts in the editor but they have failed.
I would be really grateful. |

What are you getting stuck on? If you could explain the problems you're encountering, I'll do my best to navigate you through the potholes. :-)

My biggest problem so far is getting them to appear on any list. I create the "things" create the merit but I can't seem to find them on any list.
Then I am not sure how to integrate them with skill specialisation ie: brawling (throw). :S |

After you create each thing, you *MUST* click the "Test Now" button at the top. That action will integrate the thing into the running database used by Hero Lab. If you don't do that, you won't see anything within HL.
I'm not sure how you need to integrate the things with the specialization. If you use the "Find Thing" mechanism within the Editor, you can quickly lookup the ids of all things. Another trick is to go to the Specializations tab and then click the "New (Copy)" button. Scan through the list, find the id of the specialization you're looking for, and jot it down, then cancel out. One last trick is to add the specialization to a character within HL, then right-click on it within the character and select the "Copy Unique Id to Clipboard" option. |

Why not just start with all the additional Merits, Bloodlines, Disciplines out of the Covenant Books and move on to all the Clan books... Vampire is the most popular

Wouldn't it make more sense to get the "core" books done before any of the supplements (especially the supplements of supplements? :P ).
World of Darkness itself is done, so the next series of supplements like Mage, Werewolf, Promethian etc, should probably be next, correct? Or am I missing something? Note: I'm really new to World of Darkness so if there's something super obvious I'm missing, my apologies. |
