I'm trying to work out whether the 2017 bundle will be a saving or "just" a convenience thing, can anybody advise me please?

(I've purchased the bundle in previous years, and I remember them as being effectively discounted, but looking at what's covered this time, I'm not so sure.)

It's a convenience thing.

You're savings is in time, as you don't have to individually purchase each package as it becomes available; previous years were/are the same model.

The pricing is what Lone Wolf anticipates each of the components will add up to, as they're released. If this is ever not the case, LW is fair and takes care of it's customer base.

Ualaa is correct - that's why it's under "Annual Bundles" on our sales site, and not "Discount Bundles".

I'm sure I'm missing something, but their feels like a pretty big gap in the bundle price and the individual pieces.

For what is listed for 2017, there are 2 hard cover books @12.99 a piece and 4 companion bundles at 4.99 a piece. I guess there is one more hard cover in 2017, and maybe a nother companion bundle, but is that with generous rounding up about $65 worth of material for $85?

Or does it also include the AP and Module GM material for 2017?

at the time they made the plan, the companion were monthly and settings as well.
also I think 3-4 hardcovers were planned.

now it turns out that Paizo slowed the line, so the bundle pricing is off.
I presume they'll fix that one way or another (extend bundle or discount on 2018 one)

There are plenty more books coming out this year, so give it some time, and you'll see us hit that $84.99 value.
