Voluntary Flaws....how?

How do I add voluntary flaws to my ability scores AND take advantage of the ability boost? It seems like HLO just give me an error if I take away 2 from 2 ability scores but no option to add to one without an error.

currently there's not an official way to do this, but as a workaround you can add extra ability score Flaws and Boosts via the "Permanent Added Abilities" menu under the "Customize" section of your character.
