I'm attempting to do some fairly basic self-created entries for traits and the like so that I don't have to manually type them in as custom entries all the time.
When I go to test in the editor, however, I'm getting a message that Hero Lab was forced to stop compilation after the following errors were detected -- followed by a fairly enormous list of community pack tag groups not existing and whatnot. I've attached a screenshot of the top portion -- am I doing something fundamentally wrong, do I have a scrummed data package, is this a known issue, etc.? Any help would be appreciated. |

Known issue - this happens on occasion.
I think the reason is because the pack is so large. Once this happens, you can only exit and restart the editor. (Make sure you save) I can't remember if you have to restart HL from scratch, or if just the editor itself is enough. Current RPG's: Pathfinder (GM), Pathfinder (Player), Gamma World (GM, Pathfinder homebrew). HeroLab: 3.5 & Pathfinder. HL User Files for PF: Greyhawk Setting, Gamma World (WIP). DM and player of D&D since 1980. |

Darn, yeah it makes me fully restart Hero Lab each time which makes it a real pain to do any incremental changes -- essentially as soon as I change anything it won't compile so I have to save and restart, then compile, then go see if the change worked as I needed it.
