A new update of the Shadowrun 5 files for Hero Lab is now available from the automatic updates mechanism within Hero Lab.
This update adds the Sum to Ten character creation system to Run Faster, as a free update for all our users who already own Run Faster. The alternate campaign options from the core rulebook (like Street Scum and High Life) have also been added as a free update for all of our users. Three new supplement books have also been added. Lockdown and Shadows in Focus: Butte have been added to the existing Supplements #2 package. This package is available for $4.99, and already contains Shadows in Focus: Sioux Nation, The Vladivostok Gauntlet, Nothing Personal, and Sail Away, Sweet Sister. The book Ten Terrorists only contains NPCs, and those NPCs have been added as a free update for all our users. They can be found in the Encounter Builder, which is in the Gamemaster menu. We've also gotten the chance to fit in some minor pieces of useful information - damage overflow and natural recovery have been added to the damage tracks that allow them, and fatigue resistance is now displayed on the Armory summary and printout. In the editor, several tools for implementing house rules have been added - users now have access to the picks that store various constants like the quality limits, or the maximum availability of gear to starting characters, so that you can change those values. The editor can now also access the amount of resources offered by the Resources Priority A selection, or the number of skill group points offered by Skills Priority C, etc., which means that users can house rule those values. Here's the complete change list for this update: New Releases!

So, the status of everything else;
For Run Faster, the Life Modules system and the Shapeshifter races are in progress. Once those are done, we'll have Run Faster complete. We've also got the sourcebooks Bloody Business and Hard Targets in progress, and that will bring us up-to-date with the sourcebooks and e-books that Catalyst has published. Catalyst has announced that they'll be publishing Rigger 5 soon. We haven't gotten a copy of that yet, but once we do, we'll evaluate how much work is going to be required to add that to Hero Lab, and figure out where to fit it into our schedule. I don't have solid dates for any of that yet, I'm sorry to say, but we'll get it all to you as soon as we can. Then, once that's all done, we'll have a chance to dive into the various improvement projects listed in the Future Plans section of the FAQ (which is available in the Help menu within Hero Lab). |

Hey Guys, great work. Love the product!
However, any chance of putting changelings back as a Metasapient choice? I saw that you removed them in 1.14 because they weren't allowed in games. BUT, I want to play on RunnerHub and they allow them. Please put them back? Lastly, I noticed a bug with this latest update.... BUG: If I fill out the "Hero Name" and "Player Name" fields on that first pop-up right before the character sheet, the Metatype list locks up and won't scroll down leaving me with just those choices. Not filling in those fields clears this up. Thanks guys! |

A bit more info about the "Metatype Bug":
It happens after I select a Metatype as well. All scrolling disappears. No scrolling block and using arrow keys doesn't help to transverse the rest of the list. THanks! |

Rigger 5.0 has been released. Have my pdf copy as I type, and it has a lot to it. Going to be a lot of work to implement all that it has in it.

Excellent looking forward to lifemodules and now to play with some to ten. Sounds like some nice improvements made in the latest update and yes rigger released a few hours after you said soon. Their's not yours.
One thing I noticed straight off is the new category system seems a little off. You now have "character creation systems" and "Character cretion variants" with sum to ten in the variants and street/prime runner in the creation systems. I'd suggest moving those two down to variants as well so eventually you'll have . . . Character creation systems. Priority Buy. Point Buy. Life Modules. Character Creation Variants Street Level Play. Prime Runner Play. Sum to ten. Street Scum. High Life. Since both street level and prime runner are as much a variant of priority build as sum to ten is. Although since you have street level and prime affecting the variant I'm not sure how well that'd work. Last edited by Senko; December 18th, 2015 at 03:18 AM. |
