Hiya,

I am having a lot of trouble modelling a unit dependancy situation.

The usual situation is that for every Character A you can have 2 of
Unit Z.

Easy enough to do.

The problem is that for every Character B you can have an additional
unit Z.

I have tried using the -when on unit type and switching the types
but A only looks at a single type and ingnores the rest.

Anyone out there done something like this?

Cheers, Chris.

Here is one possible way to work this:

First, Assign each type to the appropriate units (type A, type B, type Z)

Use the racial attribute "trat" that looks something like this:

trat:A@1u:Z@2u

This will let you take up to two units of type Z for each unit of type A
in the roster.

Next give an option to the type Z unit that removes it's Z type (dtyp:Z)
and assigns it another type (type:ZZ). When a user checks this option,
the Z unit will no longer count for the first trat ratio above.

Finally create another trat ratio to make sure the user doesn't check the
ZZ option more times than it has units of type B:

trat:B@1u:ZZ@1u

Hope this helps,

Mark
