Sliver Champion Drake Companion

I have created a Drake companion in the Race tab that works fine how do I add it to the Sliver Champion arch type. I have looked at the Drake Mount but do not understand how it works.

On a die note how do you make new drake powers or change when the drake gets them? I want to give the arch type the mount power at EL 5.

I know that I will have to make an alternate Arch type or can I only change how the Drake mount works?

I think the easiest way would be to create an adjustment with the new abilities you want to add. A harder way would be to create a new minion type with the alterations you want and then replace the existing drake companion.
