@PetriWessman: What you're describing here sounds almost exactly the same as a feature we included in the survey. Here's the description of that feature:
Rework the handling of game sessions This would be a major overhaul of the way game sessions are presented and managed. The GM would have all the capabilities of topics for tracking and summarizing each game session, including full linking and the ability to reveal portions to the players while keeping other details private, plus there would be direct tie-ins to the reveal history. Unfortunately, that feature didn't make it into the top few results. It's still definitely something we want to get added, but it's not something we'll be focusing on in the near term (read: upcoming few months). In the meantime, the best solution (IMHO) is to create a note group for session notes and put the game session date in the name of each note. Then put all of your session notes into the corresponding note for each session. You'll get full linking this way, and it's easy to keep one tab open during play with the note in it. After the session, you can easily go through your notes and move/copy bits into topics after taking a the time to think through their longer-term implications on the overall story. It's not a perfect solution, but it's straightforward to utilize and should work well for most users. Hope this helps! |
