That could be very cool. Quite a while ago, I suggested organizing Web meetings for RW DMs to share how they've setup their worlds. This would be even better. Schedule some single adventures with pre-rolled characters. Play through a short adventure, so you can see how the DM uses RW in game, then after the session, the DM could share his or her view of RW, so we can see how things were set up in the tool.

Interesting idea. Could be fun - although I am not sure how you intend to manage the practical details (playing over the net, playing in the forum, meeting in person - and who brings the pizza?).

Sleet entered History when he managed to get on the back of a Tarrasque only to be ridden out of History shortly after.

Using Realm Works, Worldographer (Hexographer 2), LibreOffice, Daz3D Studio, pen & paper for the realm World of Temeon and the system LEFD - both homebrewed.

I think playing over the net would be the most practical.

Google Hangouts would work fine. While you can use a VTT, I would prefer the focus to be on RW and using it to share maps and theater of the mind play for encounters.

Now, that said, back when I was trying to set up Web meetings to discuss RW with other users and see how more experienced DMs set things up, I got very little traction but was able to arrange two in-person meetings with members of these boards, both in less than a 20 minute drive. So, perhaps and in-person game isn't out of the question...

Skype + D20, Google something
I did not try any of the methods, but on the reddit forums are frequent groups that play shadowrun for example.

I would enjoy joining some Shadowrun one shot adventures (or more sessions of course depending on the interest).

Do not be offended if you ask at a store and they will not hand out names and contact info. As a store owner of many years, I have learned that this is not a good idea in case there are any issues. Let's face it, there are crazies in any hobby and RPGs are no exception. D&D Encounters in a store or Meetup Groups is a better way.

Most of the stores around here have a place for folks to post "looking for group / looking for players" signs. That way it's just between you and the person who posted the sign/is responding to the sign.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind advice and ideas. I knew that Realm works was not a VTT, I just thought that getting people who have realm works would be a great idea. I lost a lot of my old players when I moved and have not had much luck since then in reconstituting a group. I absolutely loved ERDRIX post about growing your own players, but it takes at least 8 years for them to read. LOL. I did not know about meetup will have to try that. Thanks again for the post responses and may you all have a prosperous and happy new year.

Sincerely SirJames
