Currently the "unlimited" NPC option doesn't seem to provide any way to take Edges that are higher than Novice in their requirements. Am I missing something?

What do you mean? I'm afraid I don't understand.

If you try to build an NPC, using the NPC character option, they can only take Novice edges; and there's no way to set them to higher than Novice level that I can see.

As long as you are set to "everything" on the edges tab, you can see or take anything you like. It might mark it as an error, but it won't stop you from taking anything

Good point. The GM can choose to ignore those "errors".
Evil wins because good rolls poorly .... or the players are not paying enough attention to the game. |

Let me try this again and see if I was doing something wrong...ah, I see. I assumed the greyed-out edges couldn't be taken at all, but you can take them and they'll simply be in red. My misunderstanding. Thanks, gents.
