SR 5th ed. Hero Lab encountered an unrecoverable error

This has been happening since the latest update....

The error was: An unhandled exception was thrown

(c:\vss\frameopt\utilplus\.\listptr.cpp, line 493,error code 0x40040220)

Not only is this happening to me, but the gm in the group is experiencing the same thing

Have you updated to the latest Shadowrun data file release? That fixes a bug that could cause this issue.

If not, can you describe what you're doing when you encounter the error?

Yeah its updated to the latest release......i forgot to mention that my character was locked for play. On the advancement tab anytime i try to upgrade my character with accumulated karma, hero lab crashes.

I'm 90% sure I have a bug fix for this - please grab the next Hero Lab update once you see it and let me know if it fixes the problem. I'm planning to put it out Tuesday morning, assuming we don't run into any problems with it on Monday.

This should be fixed in the V8.0b release that just went out - if you still get the crash after installing the new version, please let me know.
