Unless I'm missing something, and my player is too.
He's running a 6th level fighter with the Two-Handed Fighter archetype. He's using a great sword, and has the Weapons Training, Heavy Blade fighter ability. His *.por file isn't showing the additional +1 to damage. So for a lark, I had him send me his file to double check it. I thought, maybe, his custom greatsword was causing an issue. It's not. I added a normal greatsword to his inventory and equipped it. It show the damage to be 2d6+5, not +6 or in his case +7. What the what? Is this a known bug? Or is his *.por corrupted somehow? I've attached it below if anyone what's to double check it for me, that would be fannnnn-tastic. Thanks y'all. Last edited by jhilahd; January 18th, 2016 at 09:26 AM. |

When I open the portfolio, I see the damage as 2d6+6, which seems correct to me.
Str mod is 3, increased by 50% but rounded down is 4 for damage. Weapon echantment is +1 for another point of damage. Weapon training is +1 for another point. If you're expecting to see the Str mod doubled for Overhand Chop, HL assumes that weapons are used with a full attack actions, and overhand chop only applies to single attacks (either with the standard attack action, or a charge). Hope that clarifies things! |

It does, I was just trying to figure out what I was missing, if anything, based on his remarks to me.
Thanks for help. |

The 'Overhand Chop', or first swing for the two-handed fighter (with double the STR mod, instead of 1.5x the STR mod) is not calculated by Hero Lab.
Similarly, once the archetype reaches 7th Fighter level, the 'Backswing' (double STR mod to damage, instead of 1.5x STR mod) with all attacks after the first swing is not calculated. Using Shadow's adjustments, it is a rather easy fix... just need to remember to manually check if the adjustment is still correct, each time a character sheet is printed for a given player, whose characters are almost always a mix of: Fighter (Two-Handed archetype), Aegis, and Soulknife. |

Ualaa,
Shadows adjustments? I'm not familiar with what that is. Or if I am, I'm not sure what you mean? |
