Hi,
just a quick question I couldn't find an answer to in the documentation: When using the proxy printer, is it possible to print some of the statistical data on a card? Point in case: I have included some "Meta-Cards" for deckbuilding to assist in rules validation. If I print proxies for my deck, this card is printed, too, and I would like to use it to print some statistical data for the deck, possibly even a complete deck listing. Can it be done at all? Yours, Alexander PS: Happy new year to everyone. Yahoo! With CVProxy, the data available for printing on a given card is limited to
the data for that card. Statistics are calculated for the entire deck. That information is included in the saved deck file, and you readily write your own custom extension to print that information any way you wish. However, there is no means of accessing "deck" information via CVProxy, since it iterates through the list of individual cards. That being said, if you have devised special "cards" that are added by the user to the deck, those cards WILL be accessible via CVProxy. All of the information for those cards can be output. Just not any statistics calculations, such as those shown within an info window. It is not what I hoped to hear, but now I can at least be sure that I understood the documentation. Bye, Alexander Yahoo! I've just added the ability for CVProxy to retrieve deck statistics, deck validation messages, and a few other things from the deck. The features you want should be present in the next version of Card Vault, which should be out sometime this month (I hope). (Incidentally, are you writing data files for a game, or just adding to someone elses? Please drop me an email off-list at colen@wolflair.com if you're a data file author.)
